The news is simple: taxis will "soon" return to the Bolt mobility platform. For some, this may sound like a surprise, perhaps the end of a long "war." In fact, it is the most pragmatic and intelligent move the sector could make.

The sector realized that the real battle is no longer against apps, but within them. The fight now is for the click of the customer who wants convenience. By entering the platform, the taxi does not just become another option; it becomes a service category with unique advantages.

Let's think about the daily life of those living in Algueirão, Massamá, or Mem Martins. What defines much of our mobility? Traffic. The IC19. The daily stop-and-go. This is where the change becomes really interesting for the passenger.

When you call a car through the app, if it's a TVDE, it gets stuck in the same line as everyone else. But the taxi, which the customer can now call on the same Bolt app, has a legal "superpower": access to BUS lanes. During rush hour, this is not a small difference. It is often the difference between arriving on time or not.

And there is another advantage, especially relevant on our Sintra line. Where can taxis be and others cannot? In dedicated stands, right at the door of CP stations, whether in Rio-de-Mouro, Queluz, Algueirão, or Portela.

For the customer, this integration means the best of both worlds. You have the convenience of the app (knowing the price, waiting time, paying without reaching for your wallet) and, at the same time, gain access to the legal privileges of the taxi. The "war" may have cooled, and the passenger is the winner.
